![]() Versions of John prior to 1.8.0 displayed only the C/s rate (calling it c/s).įinally, John the Ripper has gained the "-fork=N" and "-node=MIN/TOTAL" options for trivial parallel and distributed processing. ![]() The four speed metrics are as follows: g/s is successful guesses per second (so it'll stay at 0 until at least one password is cracked), p/s is candidate passwords tested per second, c/s is "crypts" (password hash or cipher computations) per second, and C/s is combinations of candidate password and target hash per second. Now it includes as many as four distinct speed metrics. I'd like to thank magnum and bartavelle for running additional tests, which first helped spot a problem and then confirmed that, after my fix, the new incremental mode consistently outperformed the old one in their tests as well.Īnother thing that changed is the status line. As an exception, digits.chr contains data for lengths of up to 20. Now default builds are capable of lengths of up to 24 and of the full 8-bit character set (except only for the NUL character), although most of the supplied charset files only contain data for lengths of up to 13 (this is not an arbitrary choice, but is a reasonable cut-off based on our testing). Also, incremental mode's length and character set limitations in default builds have been lifted. Meanwhile, magnum is regularly sync'ing the bleeding-jumbo branch on GitHub to be based on the latest core tree (which means 1.8.0 at the moment).Īs planned, John the Ripper 1.8 features a new revision of incremental mode with better efficiency in terms of passwords cracked per candidate passwords tested. chr files are available at this time (to be used mostly on Unix-like systems, where building from source is customary and convenient), we do intend to release Windows build(s) of JtR 1.8.x, a jumbo based on 1.8.x, and a Pro based on 1.8.x at a later time. ![]() ![]() ) (Seriously, though, I'd be happy to have released both 1.7 and 1.8 much sooner.)Īlthough only JtR 1.8.0 source code and. Curiously, it's also been a little over 7 years between versions 1.6 (late 1998) and 1.7, so it was time for a 1.8. This version number reflects that we view this as a major release, considering that version 1.7 came out in early 2006 - more than 7 years ago - and there have been only (many) minor releases during those years (the latest of them being 1.7.9). Concluding phase one of the Magnificent7 project, I've released John the Ripper 1.8.0 today. ![]()

![]() ![]() The expectation was for a great paddling, easy riding, “cruisey” mid length that could draw out turns on and enjoy. Luckily enough we had the chance to ride the demo model of this board late in 2019, before release, and we were shocked in the best way possible. We always suspected the Seaside and Beyond from Firewire, based on Rob Machado surfing a 7ft model in almost every one of his Instagram clips, would be a smash hit and that’s exactly how its turned out! All the heavy hitting brands are on it now, Channel Islands, Lost, Lib Tech, FORM as well as Firewire and Slater delivering boards that perfectly marry form and function. The Glazer is only being produced with a 3-fin setup but this still offers some really exciting fin options fast and loose with a large set of twins, add a stabilizer for a little more control, or how about a standard thruster set for some control in larger waves? The Glazer has all the indicators of a really surfable board wide point sits directly under your chest so it's going to paddle fast and catch waves early. The Glazer is all about versatility, appealing to a wide range of surfers of differing abilities and being a more than capable sled in anything from knee high to overhead waves! Rob Machado's Glazer model is named after his friend and test Pilot Todd Glaser who's been riding numerous versions of this board for almost 10 years! Rob has been working closely with Todd, modifying and fine tuning the Glazer, adding a little width here and a little bit of thickness there.until they finally agreed that it was ready to introduce to the surfing world. The Firewire LFT Glazer surfboard boasts some instantly desirable curves and looks like a board with plenty of 'flow'. The squash tail is there to provide a bit more release in the turns, normally you'd lose some of the stability of the thicker round tail on the previous version but so far that doesn't seem to be the case, it still feels rock solid under foot. The concave is the same under the front foot but splits into a subtle double-barrelled concave with V out the tail in the last to improve release. Also, the rails are slightly more refined and performance oriented. The obvious outline change is the tail going to a squash from the round tail. The Dominator 2.0 is an update of the original with design features that allow it to work well in a wider range of conditions and enhance its performance. Ian was lucky enough to surf this board at Slaters surf ranch back in March and he loved it, he ordered one straight away and even offered to pay for it there and then (thats a first!). ![]() ![]() Its got a new look which is super clean and on point, a great blend of tech and cool. The Firewire Dominator 2.0 surfboard in the new Helium technology is going to revitalize what is still one of the most versatile hybrids available, take it from us its a beaut. Grovelers, Mid Lengths, Fish, Firewire have it all this year, prepare to have your mind blown! It has paddle power in spades to make sure you get your wave count in the crazy line up we have today, flow and glide and down the line speed, and maybe, most impotantly the ability to get it turning from the middle of the board. The modern Mid Length surfboard has to tick a lot of boxes to satisfiy the demanding modern surfer and rest assured the Ova does that. We've been talking to Ben about a Mid Length with a difference and its finally here it is, Ladies & Gentlemen. The Ova Everone knows about Ben Skinner AKA Skindog, Unbelievably good surfer, really sound bloke and a definite eye for board design that is both functional and great to behold. ![]() The Skindog Ova mid length surfboard looks bloody amazing and surfs even better. ![]() ![]() The downside is that my feet get tired quickly in the Skwamas due to the lack of support, which is why I only wear them for harder lines when I need the added performance. I also love the soft midsole and rubber for maximizing precision-feeling the rock underfoot allows me to toe in and perch on small edges confidently. The former is much more performance-focused with an aggressive downturn (the amount of curve in the shoe) for ascending steep rock. I have two core climbing shoes in my quiver: the La Sportiva Skwama for sport climbing and the TC Pro for trad. Climbing Shoes: La Sportiva Skwama and TC Pro Depending on your objectives, you might be able to leave some items behind or require additional gear for more involved trips. The kit outlined below includes my go-to gear for most days on the wall, whether I’m clipping draws or placing my own protection. But as I’ve progressed, I’ve begun exploring other disciplines, including trad and alpine climbing, which come with a whole different set of skills and gear requirements. Like many modern-day climbers, most of my time as a beginner was spent at the gym and sport climbing in local canyons. Rock climbing can take many forms, from casual after-work sessions at a local crag to long, multi-day missions in the alpine. Those moments of absolute focus and connectedness high off the ground are what I live for as a climber. For a brief moment, it was only me and the rock-an intricate, meditative dance from one tiny edge to the next, my breath working as a metronome to pace my movement. After clipping the chains, I notice a familiar spike of adrenaline as the scenery around me slowly comes back into view. I pull the crux and begin ascending easier terrain toward the anchors before letting my thoughts flood back in: a powerful mix of excitement and relief. ![]() The next 30 feet flow smoothly-my body precisely executing the moves I’ve rehearsed in my head. I spend a few moments working to gain composure and quiet my mind, effortfully at first, then with less resistance. I straighten my arms, inhale deeply, and steady my breathing. As I pause below a bolt to collect myself and map out the next sequence of moves, everything below me fades away. ![]() ![]() ![]() Premiering on August 1 on Sundance TV, No One Saw a Thing has The Jinx written all over it. Either way, they’re still a great watch to fill our morbid curiosity (for now). Ultimately, with both the harrowing events of The Jinx and No One Saw a Thing, we’ll probably never really know the truth. Over the course of his life, McElroy was accused of dozens of felonies, including assault, child molestation, statutory rape, arson, animal cruelty, hog and cattle rustling, and burglary. In April, those behind The Jinx were accused of faking THAT big scene that rounded off the murderous miniseries with one of the most shocking TV moments I’ve ever seen. Ken Rex McElroy (J July 10, 1981) was a resident of Skidmore, Missouri, United States.Known as 'the town bully', McElroys unsolved killing became the focus of international attention. It really becomes a much deeper portrait of American society.” Belkin continued, “I started going deep into it and saw more violent acts that happened in that town. He also teased that No One Saw a Thing will have plenty more twists and turns along the way. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Can do it solo if you are relatively knowledgeable about sailing mechanics and positioning, can do it lightning quick in a brig or galleon with a good crew. props to where props is due.įairly easy to do. You usually get a high grade in whatever emissary you are flying by the end of the completion if not level 5. EDIT He also drops a lot of everything else, skulls and chests. Yeah flameheart is actually the best way, all that loot is considered tier 4 and he drops a TON of it. ![]() So if you work with an alliance doing or turning in merch stuff then yes that will help a lot towards merch rank.Īgain any other questions don't hesitate to said, holy geez I completely forgot about Flameheart. If they turn in chest you get Gold hoarders. So if they turn in skull, you get Order of souls. SIDE NOTE alliances make everything faster but you only get rep for what the other alliance mate turns in and only half, unless you got emissary flag up which increases that amount. If you got any other questions ask away, and welcome to the game and good luck out there and happy sailing!! You'll get players who wouldn't mind doing some merch quests with you. Pigs you have to feed a fruit every now and then, snakes will bite you and your other animals.Īll in all I would look for LFG posts or ask for help in the discord channel. You want the gold ones which are worth a lot of money and rep, especially if you got a full emissary, but emissary makes you a target, so just be aware and be careful animals will die in one hit, have to figure out a placement for them. You might want to look into doing some solo missions for animals. Message in a bottle quest that ask for crate of cannonballs, wood, or fruit. Forts guarantee to have them, regular forts have 1 and FoTD's have 4 I think? Maybe 2, I steal them so I don't know exactly lol. Bonedust is the best rep and you can get it from either Forts or from megs and even krakens. Kegs - Any type of keg, if you have a quest the better.Ĭrates - Spices, Silks, Ore, and Bonedust. ![]() |
